Rôles et droits

InTeach offers an advanced role and rights management system to cover all use. From the simplest: an administrator who does everything, to the most complex: authors, local administrators, supervisors,…

Before you can see how to create users and groups, it is important to understand how these roles and rights work.

User status (on the platform)

Each user is assigned a status. This status can be modified at any time by the administrators as we will see in the following article.

A status gives access to a certain number of rights on the InTeach back office. There are 3 statutes with progressive fees:

Simple user

By default, a user remains a user, he has no special status. This “lambda” user status does not give any rights to the back office and the InTeach API. It is therefore impossible to connect to the back office for these users.

Author

An author has access to the CREATE brick of the back office. It can therefore create content and share it in the public space. It cannot therefore create a group, user or access. Its role is only to produce content.

Administrator

An administrator has all the rights. He can therefore:

  • create and manage the content of his entire organization,
  • create and manage routes,
  • create and manage users and groups,
  • send push notifications to groups,
  • create reports and supervise the use of InTeach.

Be careful. It is advisable to broadcast this role carefully. As we will see, to give rights to users in a given perimeter, it is better to use the concept of role described in the following section.

Roles (group)

The concept of role allows to give rights to a user (whatever his status) in a given perimeter. This perimeter is the group. Each user therefore has a role in a group. The role gives specific rights to a user on his group. There are 3 types of roles: learner, supervisor, manager.

Learner

When a user is added to a group, the role of learner is assigned by default. The learning role allows access to the content associated with the group via mobile applications and the webapp.

Supervisor

The supervisor of a group has access to the “Track” brick and can generate reports for the groups they are supervising. Supervisors also have, like learners, the ability to access content via apps.

This role is useful to give visibility on the use of the app by a group to a client or project manager for example.

Group manager

A group manager can:

  • manage and modify a group,
  • add users to it,
  • modify the role of users in the group,
  • send push notifications to the group,
  • generate reports for this group.

This allows the owner of a group to delegate the administration of the group to another person, or to share its management.

This status and role system gives you great flexibility to easily broadcast rights to your users.
