Groups and users
In order to spread your content to the right target audience of learners, you will organize your users into groups. There are several ways to create groups and users that we will detail here and in the following articles.
Create a first user
When you want to create a small number of users, for example to give demo access and create an administrator, you can use the method below.
Go to the Users tab under DEPLOY. You see listed, at a minimum, your own account. Click on Create User.
In the next screen, indicate the email (it is his unique identifier), his name and his first name. All this information is mandatory and necessary for the operation of the application. Also define its status (see the article Roles and rights if necessary).
You then have the option of manually entering a password. If you do not want to define it, you can uncheck the box. This will send a registration link to the user by email that will allow him to choose his own password.
Click on Create to create the user. Your new user is created! You can communicate his accesses to him. For the moment he has no access to any content until you associate him with a group that has access to content itself.

Edit user
To edit a user, click on Manage or on his name. The edit screen of a user allows you to modify his account information (email, last name, first name), status and delete him.
You can also associate it with groups here.

Create a group
Now let’s see how to create a group. Click Create Group on the Users or Groups screen (it’s the same).
In the window that appears, you have the option to Create a group without adding a user or Import users. Do not create a user for the moment, we will see the import features in the next article.

Edit group
Your group is created. Click on Manage to access the group. In the Users and Access tab, search for the user you just created to add him or her. By clicking on “Learner”, the default role assigned to the user, you can assign him a new group role: supervisor or group manager (see Roles and rights ).
In order to give the group access to content, you will then have to associate courses with it by searching for them in the same way. Go to the article Course Management to discover how to create categories and courses.
In the Settings tab, you can delete and rename the group. You can also create _registration codes and links.*

Codes and registration links
Codes and registration links allow users to register themselves and be associated with the group at the same time. This is in contrast to other registration methods, an open registration method since any user with access to a valid link can access an account.
On the Group Settings tab, click Generate Code. A line appears providing you with a code. You can communicate this code to the persons concerned. They will be able to use it as a password when they first log in to register.
You can also click on the link icon. An url is then copied so that you can forward it to the people concerned. By clicking on this link on a mobile phone, they will be automatically redirected to the store to download the app, then access a registration form at the first opening. Following this registration, they will be automatically added to the group.
If the user using the code or link already has an account, then he or she will simply be associated with the group.
These open registration methods make it easier for users to board in a large number of cases and allow them to access their content the first time they connect.
